Meeting of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel with the Business Sector

On December 1, 2025, a special event dedicated to advancing economic and tourism cooperation between Georgia and Israel was held at Wyndham Batumi. The meeting marked a new stage in bilateral relations, with a primary focus on deepening investment partnerships and exploring tourism development opportunities in the Adjara region.

The event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Georgia, Mr. Walid Abu Haya, as well as the Head of the Tourism and Resorts Department of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara Mrs. Tinatin Zoidze.

The business community gathered at Wyndham Batumi included executives of Georgian companies operating with investments attracted from Israel. Particular attention was given to ongoing investment projects in Gonio. Among them, the first All-Inclusive resort project in Gonio - WHYNDHAM GRAND GONIO BATUMI, developed by the company “European Village,” was highlighted.

The WHYNDHAM GRAND GONIO BATUMI project is being led in partnership with Georgian companies, alongside global hospitality leader Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and leading international hotel operator Aimbridge Hospitality.

During the event, speakers emphasized that such cooperation strengthens economic ties between the two countries, enhances Adjara’s tourism potential, and promotes the attraction of international investment.
